OnePlus is expected to launch an inexpensive unit, i.e. OnePlus Z (formerly known as OnePlus 8 Lite), in July. Until now, OnePlus Z has been talking around Dimension 1000 SoC, but now a new leak reveals that Snapdragon 765 is instead going ahead for the smartphone. While Snapdragon chipsets are well known for providing better support for custom ROMs and developers in general, Dimension 1000 is sadly a much more efficient chipset than the Snapdragon 765 SoC in almost all fields. The new information comes from Tipster Max J., who also hypothesized that the organization could have altered the processor option in a late development phase.

OnePlus Z leaked specifications and expected price

The OnePlus Z has been speculated to have a 6.4 inch AMOLED display with a 90hz refresh rate that is similar to that of OnePlus 8 but below the 120Hz supported by OnePlus 8 Pro. A center-aligned punch-hole cut-out is expected to house the front camera on the phone. Following this new leak, the Snapdragon 765 SoC is now expected to drive the unit, which can be loaded along with 8 GB of memory and 128GB/256 GB. You should expect the OnePlus Z on the software side to run Android 10 with OxygenOS on top.

If you are thinking about cameras you can use the OnePlus Z with a three-camera setup at the back which includes a primary 48MP sensor, a secondary 16MP lens and a 12MP panel. A 4,000 mAh battery with 30 T Warp fast charging is supposed to power your mobile and it can be anticipated that your phone comes with a fingerprint authentication sensor on board. Connectivity is planned to include 5 G connectivity for OnePlus Z.

On the other hand, the OnePlus Z is said to cost around GBP 400 (around Rs 37,500) but if one considers that the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro in India are comparatively less than other regions, the OnePlus Z could also be lower explicitly for India. We need to learn more about OnePlus Z when we reach the start date, so stay tuned.
